Calvary Chapel Merced is a fellowship of believers in the Lordship of Jesus Christ. Our supreme desire is to know Christ and to be conformed into His image by the power of the Holy Spirit.
We Believe...Worship should be spiritual, therefore, we remain flexible and yielded to the leading of the Holy Spirit to direct our worship.
We Believe...Worship of God should be inspirational, therefore, we give great place to music in our worship.
We Believe...Worship of God should be intelligent, therefore, our services are designed with great emphasis upon teaching the Word of God that He might instruct us in how He would be worshipped.
We Believe...Worship of God should be fruitful, therefore, we look for His love in our lives as the supreme manifestation that we have truly been worshipping Him.
We Believe...The Bible is the inspired and only infallible and authoritative written Word of God.
We Believe...There is one God, eternally existent in three Persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. The three persons are distinguishable, yet indivisible.
We Believe...In the full deity and full humanity of our Lord Jesus Christ; in His virgin birth and sinless life; in His complete and finished work on the cross and His bodily resurrection from the dead; in His ascension to the right hand of the Father and His personal, future return to the earth in power and glory.
We Believe...In the depravity of man. That man in his essential being is sinful and incapable of meriting God's favor. We believe that salvation is by grace, through faith in the finished work of Jesus Christ on the cross.
We Believe...In water baptism by immersion - not for salvation, but because of salvation - to fulfill the command of Christ.
We Believe...In the present work of the Holy Spirit by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a godly life. We further believe His power and gifts continue to operate in the lives of believers today.
